What is the max crafting level in gw2? ›

Each discipline has a maximum level of 500, except Jeweler and Scribe, which cap at 400. Generally, every 75 levels, access is granted to a new tier of recipes.

Most basic component and refinement recipes are learned automatically by increasing the rank in a crafting discipline. Discovery. Most other recipes are learned by combining ingredients in the Discovery tab at a crafting station.

Players can take on a maximum of two crafting disciplines at a time, but they can switch to a new discipline at any time. Their progress in their prior discipline will be saved but they will have to pay a small fee to switch back.

You can make a ton of gold with crafting. But its not as straighforward. Easy to craft stuff and basic refinement is not really profitable. But you can reach crazy margins with some time gated stuff and most of all crafting gen 1 or 3 legendary weapons and selling them.

Elementalists have access to more weapon skills than any other class, which makes them difficult to pick up but rewarding to master. Weaver elite specialization focuses more on damage and dueling and requires players to quickly chain different elements together.

If you like to have all the recipes, or if you like to drop ascended food for yourself and others (the fishing ones are nice to drop for everyone at wp's), then yes finish it. If it doesn't bother you to not be at 500 and you just want food for yourself, then nope don't worry with it.

This limit exists so you don't have to worry about accidentally unlocking more copies of a specific legendary than you can equip. Since no character can ever equip more than four swords at once, your Legendary Armory holds a maximum of four copies of each legendary sword.

You can make a profit by crafting certain items and selling them on the Trading Post. Due to the nature of supply and demand, the most profitable items are always changing, so you'll have to put in some legwork to get the most out of this method. A relatively reliable source of income is crafting timegated items.
